India doesn't have a sun problem. India has a sun protection problem.

The idea didn't start in a boardroom. It started with a medical student paying attention.

Dr. Li — Nithul is an MBBS doctor currently pursuing his postgraduate studies in China. Growing up in Kerala, he understood better than most what prolonged UV exposure actually does to skin and the drive to make real protection accessible for everyday Indians who need it most. Everyone from students walking to college, to riders commuting for hours, to women navigating daily life outdoors — effective sun protection simply wasn't built for the way Indians actually live.

VEYIL is his answer to that gap.

The Name

Veyil is the Tamil/ Malayalam word for sunlight — intense, relentless, unavoidable. We didn't pick a soft name because there's nothing soft about Indian sun. We face it. We built gear for it.

VEYIL makes UPF 50+ certified sun protection clothing designed for real Indian outdoor life — lightweight, breathable, and cooling, so protection never comes at the cost of comfort or style.
